If it wasn't for this baby, I would never have been able to download and read the manga anytime and anyplace. I seriously considered the guy an asshole for the way he behaved with her, oh and when he kissed Misaki, apart from her and Usui, I exploded as well and almost chucked my iPad across the room at my brother. But, overall, despite the whole story being stretched too far, I'm happy the two ended up together and that finally, Tora ended up with Chiyo. The ending was.I don't know, I mean I was somehow just going 'Meh.' by the time I finished the last chapter. The story ended up getting dragged along too much because at times I would ask, 'Hey, when is this gonna end?' and even lost interest in reading it for a while. I was all'Hallelujah! They're a couple! Yes!' I had been following the manga ever since until its conclusion. The first thing I did? I fangirled, literally. I spent countless hours reading manga hoping that they would finally become a couple and then my wish came true in Episode 4.

Initially, I was 'creeped' out by Usui's innuendos but like Misaki, I gradually warmed up to him and ended up becoming a HUGE fan of the two. Thank God for Fujiwara-san!Īnyway, I noticed how much I kind of resembled Misaki, what with my whole serious study regime and the whole boy-hating thing and that's what made me become a fan of her. After watching the first episode, I was instantly hooked because it was the first time that I had come across my ideal female shoujo character. Like 'dreamit.', I too had first come across the anime before the manga. Last updated on October 24th, 2015, 12:15pm So I don't care what it's like, I'm just attached to Kaichou as Maid-Sama! This manga is a good start for newcommers. Even if the me now would NEVER want to re read every single chapter, I still do peek at few chapters I liked.

It wasn't so when I read it as my first manga. And even if it's repititive, draggy, weak, messy. But I loved how cute the romance was at times. But I guess that's only expected from a tsundere.Īll in all, the manga was GREAT till the school festival arc and then it took a U-turn. And even though she realized her mistake, she'd do something similar yet again. Misaki, well, I respect her will and the effort she put in to support her family, but very often she was a big idiot. I guess it's also because I love guys who are a tease XD and damn *^* he was unbelievably perfect in everything he did. He is my first and the biggest shoujo crush. How much of a tease he was, and yet how sweet. His portrayal as the perfect perverted alien was great. But not the squealy fangirl type of love. I mean If you don't want him, give him to me girl! Misaki was a tsundere so can't blame her for always blushing but at some point, I wanted to slap her for pushing Usui away.

Maybe because now I know more about these overused plots than I did back then, or the fact that I'm getting tired of drama do I think that this series really should have ended much earlier.īut God how I love this. Like how long it took for Misaki to confess, or how the thing about Miyabigaoka was nothing but a means to drag the series further. And even Usui was presented as the centre of some sort of upcoming chaos, but then poof! The duke suddenly comes to know that his grandson is there and everything is over? When I looked at this manga recently, I found many such flaws. I mean there was so so much of drama and preparation for Misaki to go to Britain. Stuff were put together in messed up way, the end didn't make sense. I agree with some reviews that it was horribly dragged. It's been more than an year since it's completion, I suppose? But of course, when I started reading it, it wasn't complete. I read a few comments after me and I'm redoing my review because it seems previously, I got biased due to nostalgia.įirst of all, this was the first shoujo anime I watched, and the first manga I ever read.
